The NCSS sought to adopt the idea of establishing a coordinating council for the bodies concerned with social research. This was based on Cabinet Resolution No. (220), dated: 7/7/1433 AH, approving the organization of the National Center for Social Studies, Article Three, Paragraph (7) of the Center’s tasks and competencies in the organization stipulated “Providing scientific and technical advisory services to institutions Public and private social services to improve and develop their services,” and paragraph (10) of the same article stated “cooperating with research centers and studies specialized in social affairs.”
