Yesterday, the National Center for Social Studies and Research signed a memorandum of understanding with the Crime Prevention Research Center at the Ministry of Interior, under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Social Studies and Research.
The memorandum was signed by: the Director General of the National Center for Social Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al-Nassar, and the General Supervisor of the Crime Prevention Research Center, Dr. Dhaar bin Nayef bin Mahaya.
The memorandum of understanding seeks to enhance aspects of social security by investing the results of studies and scientific research submitted by specialists in this aspect to reduce the phenomenon of the spread of crime and avoid its dangers to society, contribute to the evaluation and reform of people with criminal inclinations, and enhance the concept of security and its importance in the life of the individual and the group.
Al-Nassar pointed out: “This memorandum came to consolidate the spirit of cooperation and common understanding of development needs and national priorities, as the role of the National Center for Social Studies and Research comes as a social expertise house in providing information and proposing solutions to address problems and phenomena related to social security.”
Under the memorandum of understanding, the two parties will work together to discuss security and social issues through studies, research, scientific consultations and exchange advice on common issues, where the two parties exchange information and data of common interest, and joint studies and research projects are funded by agreement between the two parties.
