The Social Research Award initiative, is an award with a legal personality affiliated with the National Center for Social Studies, chaired honorary by His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, and supervised by the Director General of the Center. The Award has been initiated based on the Center’s commitment to all of its work of research, events, scientific activities and social initiatives having an impact, achieving benefit and social return at the national level, and a belief in the role of scientific research in understanding social issues and challenges and finding appropriate solutions to them, 

The Award seeks to honour researchers whose research has contributed to understanding social phenomena and issues, identified challenges facing social development and finding effective solutions to them, as well as motivating researchers to be creative in addressing social issues in Saudi society, thus contributing to raising the quality of life for people in the Kingdom, and achieving Objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
