Tasks and Responsibilities:

Strategic Objective

The National Center for Social Studies and Research aims to conduct research and studies on social issues, phenomena, and challenges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to propose appropriate recommendations and solutions to address them.

The Center’s Main Tasks and Responsibilities Include:

  1. Conducting Theoretical and Field Social Research:
    Undertaking comprehensive studies to understand and analyze social issues and their impacts on Saudi society.
  2. Monitoring and Analyzing Social Issues and Phenomena:
    Observing and studying the social problems and phenomena that concern Saudi society, and developing effective solutions to address them.
  3. Carrying Out Evaluative Research:
    Assessing various community programs to identify areas of weakness and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Publishing Scientific Research and Studies:
    Producing and disseminating peer-reviewed research papers, books, and manuscripts in the field of social sciences.
  5. Issuing a Peer-Reviewed Scientific Journal:
    Publishing a specialized journal dedicated to the dissemination of studies across all fields of social sciences.
  6. Developing Research Methodologies:
    Enhancing scientific research methods to support researchers and improve the quality and rigor of social research.
  7. Providing Scientific and Technical Consulting Services:
    Offering advisory and technical expertise to public and private social institutions to improve and develop their services.
  8. Organizing Scientific Seminars and Workshops:
    Hosting academic events, workshops, and conferences for professionals and those interested in social sciences within Saudi Arabia, the Gulf region, and the Arab world.
  9. Establishing a Central Database for Social Research:
    Building a centralized database and information system for social studies and research to serve scholars and specialists in the field.
  10. Collaborating with Research and Study Centers:
    Partnering with local, regional, and international institutions dedicated to social research and development.
  11. Training Social Work Professionals:
    Offering training programs for professionals in the social sector, both within and outside the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

Through these initiatives, the Center seeks to become a national leader in social research and policy development, contributing to sustainable social advancement and the strengthening of community well-being in the Kingdom.
