Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis, Minister of Labor and Social Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Social Studies and Research, the Center, in cooperation with Ru'ya Center for Social Studies, is organizing a workshop entitled "Grantmaking Foundations and Social Research Centers: An Interactive Relationship" today at the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue in Riyadh.

&nbspThe workshop targets two important groups involved in enabling the social research community. The first is charitable grantmaking institutions that support social research and studies in Saudi Arabia the second is social research centers responsible for conducting scientific research and studies. The workshop aims to coordinate efforts and build an effective interactive relationship between grantmaking foundations and social research centers by identifying gaps, ways to address them, and practical mechanisms for resolving them. Topics include obstacles and challenges limiting stronger interaction between grantmakers and social research centers, and proposed solutions and alternatives to enhance that relationship. A group of local and international experts will participate to present leading international practices that can help enable research support while addressing challenges facing social studies.
