Center Launches Workshop 13 for the National Study on Monitoring Social Issues and Needs

Date

The final workshop of the national study on monitoring social issues, problems, needs and negative social phenomena across all regions of the Kingdom was launched in Riyadh on Thursday as part of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development's National Transformation Program 2020 initiatives.

In cooperation with the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, the National Center for Social Studies and Research conducted 13 workshops across the Kingdom to identify social issues and needs in each region and the factors behind them. Participants included representatives from regional governorates and councils, relevant government departments, the private and civil sectors, and citizens interested in social affairs in the regions.

Prof. Dr. Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al-Nassar, Director General of the Center, explained that the results of these workshops would help identify needs, problems, issues and negative phenomena in each region and provide decision-makers with the information needed to formulate policies and intervention and containment programs at both preventive and remedial levels.
