The Board of Directors of the National Center for Social Studies and Research held its fifth meeting, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis, Minister of Labor and Social Development and Chairman of the Board, with the participation of Board members representing the government and private sectors as well as specialists in social affairs. The meeting reviewed the Center's workflow, current programs and activities, initiatives and future directions, and approved a number of regulations and organizational measures that support the achievement of the Center's objectives.

Prof. Dr. Saleh Al-Nassar, Director General of the Center, emphasized that the Center was established to monitor and study social issues, phenomena and problems affecting Saudi society and to develop appropriate solutions. Its mission is to provide effective scientific communication and support the use of research ideas and projects in designing practical solutions to social issues and challenges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
