The first preparatory meeting of the Coordinating Council for Social Research Centers was held remotely on Monday, 26 Jumada al-Akhirah 1442 AH, corresponding to 8 February 2021. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Sami bin Abdulaziz Al-Damgh, Director General of the National Center for Social Studies and Research, and attended by directors and representatives of government, private and nonprofit entities. The Council reviewed mechanisms for coordination among entities concerned with social research, aiming to exchange expertise and ideas and build an interactive database shared by all relevant centers and available to researchers. The Coordinating Council for Social Research Centers is one of the Center's initiatives to strengthen cooperation and coordination with centers specializing in social studies and research.
