The Saudi Association for Social Studies, under the patronage of the National Center for Social Studies and Research, organized a seminar entitled "Issues of Change in Saudi Society." The seminar was attended by the Center's Director General, Dr. Sami Al-Damgh, the Association's Director General, Dr. Dhib Al-Dosari, and a number of researchers and people interested in social affairs. It aimed to explain the impact of social change on women in Saudi society and compare the structure of Saudi families in the past and present in light of contemporary social changes, in support of the social objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The seminar also discussed the concept, factors and barriers of change, social change and its impact on the Saudi family, and broader effects on society. A number of local and international academic speakers participated, and the seminar was accompanied by several workshops on topics related to community affairs.
