The National Center for Social Studies and Research sponsored the International Volunteer Day event of the Saudi Volunteering Association (Takatuf), held at Alfaisal University under the theme "Intellectual Security Is Our Strength." The event addressed the concept of intellectual security and social balance and was organized in cooperation with the Center and Alfaisal University. Attendees included the Center's Director General, Dr. Sami bin Abdulaziz Al-Damgh, and Princess Moudi bint Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Chair of Takatuf's Board. During the event, Takatuf announced the launch of a new volunteer group for 2019 called the "Quwwah Group for Intellectual Security," extending the objectives of the Intellectual Security Club based at Alfaisal University. The Center's sponsorship also supports Saudi Vision 2030 objectives to expand the role of the nonprofit sector and increase the number of volunteers in the sector to one million by 2030.
