Establishment of the Coordinating Council for Social Research Centers

The approval of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Social Studies and Research was issued under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, His Excellency Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi. To establish a Coordination Council for Social Research Centers, one of the initiatives of the National Center for Social Studies and Research that achieves the center’s strategic objectives in communicating and coordinating with research centers in the social and development field.

One of the most important objectives of the Council is to coordinate between the social research authorities to exchange experiences and ideas in the service of the social field, and to develop national social indicators and reports. As well as proposing policies and procedures with regard to social affairs, and building an interactive database in which all concerned centers participate, and available to all researchers to benefit from.

The Council is chaired by the Director General of the National Center for Social Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Sami bin Abdulaziz Al-Damgh, in addition to a Deputy and Secretary-General who are elected by the members of the Council from the directors of government and private research centers and the charitable sector.

The first preparatory meeting of the Coordinating Council for Social Research Centers will be held remotely on Monday 26/6/1442 AH corresponding to 08/02/2021 AD at 10:30 am, and the National Center for Social Studies and Research invites the centers and relevant and specialized bodies to participate in the meeting.
